Me and my daughter made a round trip in February for 11 days with our driver Kamal. We planned the round trip individually. Nilusha, Hiran’s wife, helped us with good tips and advice. We really enjoyed the round trip. With Kamal we had a very good and friendly driver with a good, comfortable car. Kamal has always supported us in everything. Nothing was too much for him, every wish was fulfilled. During the tour he gave us interesting insights into his country. He was always friendly and helpful and we had a lot of fun together. Hiran himself called several times to ask how we were doing and how we liked it. We felt safe and in very good hands.
We have traveled to many countries with a similar concept, but this time it was very special. We hired a driver and found a friend. All in all a highly recommended agency. We will definitely travel again with this agency.

The positive experience began with the planning: We contacted them via e-mail and got an answer very quickly. We had lots of e-mails back and forth because we kept changing plans and ideas often before we had the perfect itinerary. Nilusha, the wife of the owner, who is the tour planner, was always very quick and helpful in adapting our changing plans. She also suggested all the (middle class) hotels for the tour and they did all meet or even exceed our expectations.
On arrival we were greeted by a driver at the airport with a flower necklace and brought to the homestay. There Hiran, the owner, made us really feel very welcome and made tea for us on arrival – in the middle of the night. We spent the day with a guided tour of Negombo and a beach visit. In the evening Nilusha’s mom made a little cooking class for us and we had dinner and beer (all included).
The 7 days/8 nights tour started the next day very early with a visit to the Negombo fish market. The tour was perfectly arranged. We did not have to worry about anything. Even all entry fees were included in the tour and “our” driver Amila took care of getting the tickets, so that we never had do queue on a ticket counter. The car was always filled with enough drinking water for the hot and sometimes long days. For the safari in Udawalawe national park we had our own Jeep with driver, who also spoke good English and was a very good animal spotter.
Amila was not only a good and safe driver, who navigated to hotels and sights easily, but he also was a very good guide and speaks very good English. He quickly knew what could be interesting for us and stopped often on our way for things that were not on the itinerary: See how pepper grows or how rice is peeled, observe a truck of cinnamon being loaded for export, buy some exotic fruit or have Roti on little street stand – and of course miss no stop for a good photo opportunity. Amila was a real door opener to get in contact with local people. He was always on time and very friendly. His great knowledge about the country and its nature, about Buddhism and history added a lot of value to the tour and also made long car rides very short.
After the tour we had some days in a lovely hotel on the beach (also a suggestion of Nilusha) and made up our mind that we wanted to have another tour with “our” guide for our last day. Even this change in plan was fulfilled without any problem.

We can highly recommend Hiran and his team! If we ever manage to come back to Sri Lanka we will definitely do a tour with them again!

We are 3 English women travelling to Sri Lanka for the first time and wanted to explore the cultural triangle, Kandy, and elephant safaris.
We were so lucky to have Suneth as our driver, he was absolutely amazing and we cannot recommend enough!
Suneth not only drove us around comfortably and safely but he was so friendly and we had good fun along the way! An absolute dream trip! If I had more than 5 stars, I would definitely give them!
We were put together, our individual tour and adapted to our wishes. Already the email traffic with Nilusha, Hiran’s wife, was so that we felt more than welcome.

We were excellently cared for from the first to the last second of our journey. Our first two nights were spent in Hirans Homestay. An absolute highlight. Great rooms, great decor and very clean. We were first class cooked. Such a hospitality, I have never experienced. The perfect start to our journey. Already during this stay, we were prepared for our tour, learned a lot about the culture and got lots of tips.
The organization of the tour was perfect. On our own we would definitely have lived in stress and lost a lot of time. Another plus: the excellent air conditioning in the car and the unlimited water supply. We were absolutely thrilled by the hotels and the entire tour!

Our driver Suneth, was not only our driver, he became our friend. An outstanding guy and car driver who has always brought us safe, even through chaotic traffic conditions. He fulfilled all our wishes, showed us secret places and always made sure that we had an unforgettable trip.

Our driver Gishan was simply great.?? He greeted us with lovely orchid necklaces at the airport which we really appreciated. He showed us all the places we planned to visit plus a few other interesting activities which our boys loved. He was always kind, funny, very helpful and punctual. We had such a good time with Grishan. He was a good driver and we always felt safe with him in this mad and chaotic traffic of Sri Lanka. He drove us round in a spacious minivan which gave our boys enough room to relax on some rather long journeys before we enjoyed Sri Lanka’s lovely beaches.

We booked a driver for 10 days and were happy to be with Danushka as he was very kind and helpful, always punctual and willing to do his best. We always managed to understood each other. (Despite a beginner level in English). He helped us many times. Came with us to the railway station to make sure we catch the train and have the best seats. Also, we faced a difficult situation and had to go to a local hospital and he has been there all the time, once again doing his best, talking to the doctors, pharmacy, etc. Great to be able to count on a reliable and kind person like Danushka.

I was recommended chauffeur Sri Lanka by a friend and we were in no way disappointed! Hiran and Nilusha responded quickly to emails and based on our requests put together the perfect itinerary.
Our driver Indra collected us from our hotel in Colombo. He took us to meet Hiran and Nilusha, who were incredibly hospitable. Over a few cups of tea and biscuits they gave us some tips for our trip. Indra was incredibly friendly, helpful and provided great local knowledge. He took us to some great lunch spots and continued to adapt our tour to what we wanted. When there were issues with one of our hotels being without hot water or electricity, Indra was on the phone trying to rearrange a suitable replacement. He managed to find a great place, which was actually better value then our previously arranged accommodation.

Overall – great value for money, a personalised, friendly and warm service. Would highly recommend!

We did the 8days/7 nights tour. From the beginning everything went well. The communication was easy and the response was quick and helpful. We were picked up on time and taken to meet the owner. He explained a few things and then we got started.
Our driver Indra did a good job driving us around the island safely. He also had a good knowledge and was a nice person to be around. We liked that he asked if we wanted to go to some places or prefer not to stop. We had all the time we needed at every stop. Hotels are mainly good. Just 2 of them need to improve a bit. But that’s nothing to do with the tour and the driver.

From the first moment we felt, Chauffeur Sri Lanka will give us much more than a chauffeur service. Everything was perfectly organized, The welcome coffee in Hiran’s house is the best start you can imagine after a long flight from Europe. You get some brief information about the island and everyday life. Our chauffeur and guide Nali is so kind, and smart. He gave so many information about the history, religion, the local people, and their lifestyle, he knows so much about wildlife and animals as well and speaks perfect English. He always took care of us, and warned of potential hazards (for example the wasp attack in Sigiriya), and what to do in certain situations. The transfer on last day with Srimal was also enjoyable.

We (two families with a 12 year old daughter each) started planning our 3 weeks round trip 6 months ahead. From first e- mail contact on Hiran was very professional and friendly. He was the only one, who adopted his tour program to our wishes from the beginning. He and his wife Nilusha never got tired to answer our questions or make changes and write back within a few hours.

Hiran and Srimal picked us up at the airport and took us to our first hotel. On the next day, Hiran invited us to his home to tea as a really warm welcome. Srimal, our driver, was the best guide you can think of. He knows so many things about the history, nature and people of this beautiful island. He never got tired telling us about everything he knew. He gave us good advice how to avoid inconveniences when we had time to explore some places alone. Every now and then he suprised us with some fruits or other delicacies typical for the region we passed.

Srimals love for his country is present in every story he tells and made us feel the magic of the island as well. He is such a careful driver which was very important regarding to the crazy traffic situation. The hotels were all perfectly chosen. When we had any special wishes, or something didn’t work out quite the way it was planned, Srimal found a way to make everything turn out fine. On our last day we came back to Hirans house for tea again to say goodbye.

For those of you who want the short version: Our Trip with Chauffeur Sri Lanka and our driver Srimal were just perfect and we recommend them without limitations.

For those of you who want to know more, here comes the more detailed version: We (Married Couple, 32 and 29) arranged and booked our 17 days roundtrip through Sri Lanka with Chauffeur Sri Lanka via the internet. Soon, we had an itinerary which we adjusted via e-mail contact. On arrival in Colombo (capital of Sri Lanka), we were greeted very friendly by Hiran (the owner of the company) and our driver-to-be Srimal. We have to admit that we had some small concerns upfront regarding the reliability (because, you know, you do not have any ‘official’ booking confirmation like you get when booking with big companies and we payed the whole amount of money upon arrival) but those concerns were quickly blown away by the friendliness and the professionalism with which we were treated (and also by the complimentary welcome coconut at Hiran’s homestay).

Talking about the homestay, we extremely recommend staying one or two nights with Hiran’s family in a completely local neighbourhood, learning how to cook Sri Lankan curry and how to drink the local arrack.

During the whole trip, Srimal reacted flexible and appreciative to our needs. For example, one day morning, we changed the plan from hiking (10 miles) to a day in a spa and Srimal not only brought us to a really good spa but also payed for one massage since he did not have to pay the national park entry fee. On another day, we were not happy with our hotel and we changed it to a better one without any additional costs.

We do also recommend Srimal as a good english speaker, safe driver of a good car (minivan with free wifi) and knowledgable guide who gave us plenty of insights into the historical, spiritual and culinary Sri Lanka. As time went by, Srimal became like a friend to us.

So, if you think about a trip to Sri Lanka, a private driver (preferably from Chauffeur Sri Lanka) will definitely be the best way to travel. We would book with Hiran again any time.

Hiran organized our 11 days tour in a very god way, and our driver/guide was excellent in both driving and to explain all interesting things during our tour, old tempels, history and nature. The night before our tour started we stayed at Hirans homestay and had a lovely afternoon with a biking tour in the village and a nice dinner in the evening. The hotels during our tour was in the middle class and all of them was a good choise both in location and standard.

Nous avons sillonné le Sri Lanka pendant 15 jours du 11 au 25 février 2016. Après avoir consulté plusieurs agences locales, notre choix s’est porté sur ‘Chauffeur Sri Lanka’. Gérée avec sérieux et compétence par Hiran, un jeune auto-entrepreneur, cette agence s’est dotée d’un site internet attrayant proposant plusieurs circuits de différentes durées et plusieurs niveaux d’hébergement.

Nous avons chois celui de 15 jours en catégorie moyenne pour l’hébergement. A notre demande, Hiran a apporté quelques changements au programme: nous souhaitions grimper au Pic d’Adam et passer nos 2 journées prévues en bord de mer à Mirissa plutôt qu’à Bentota afin de pouvoir visiter le ‘Turtel preservation center’ et faire un safari en mer à la rencontre des dauphins et des baleines. Hiran nous a arrangé tout cela en intégrant visite et safari dans notre programme sans surcoût. Hiran connaÎt parfaitement tous les hébergements qu’il propose ainsi que leur manager ce qui nous a souvent valu les meilleures chambres des différents hôtels. Il choisit également les chauffeurs pour les différents safaris, soucieux de garantir toujours la meilleures qualité possible à ses clients. Chaque matin il a appelé notre chauffeur pour s’assurer qu’il n’y avait pas de problème. Hébergements et repas étaient toujours de qualité.

Nous avons passé la première et la dernière nuit dans la sympathique chambre d’hôte d’Hiran à Negombo, à 15 minutes de l’aéroport. Très pratique! De plus, Hiran nous a fait visiter en scooter Negombo, sa plage, son port avec son marché aux poissons, sa mangrove, ses canaux, son centre ville avec ses commerces et son marché couvert où nous avons choisi les produits que sa belle-mère a cuisinés devant nous pour notre dîner. Nous nous sommes régalés!

Nous sommes un couple de retraités (64 et 67 ans) et avons beaucoup voyagé à travers le monde. Grâce à Hiran et son agence, notre séjour au Sri Lanka fait partie de nos plus belles expériences de voyages!

We booked a 12 day journey. Before Hiran fixed the itinerary he asked if we agree. The trip included the most of the noteworthy sightseeings like cultural triangle, Dambulla, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Ella, Yala NP, Mirissa. The tour was organized very well. We were booked in very nice middle class hotels what was perfect. All of the hotels Hiran has choosen for us met our expectations. Clean, convenient, very good food and friendly and helpful staff.

The first day after our arrival we spent at Hiran´s home stay. That was great and we could enjoy his family exceptional hospitality. A very good start for our trip. Hiran could not do the tour with us, so Indra used to be our driver. He was a very cool driver and managed it perfectly geting us through the partially chaotic traffic to all of the foreseen places safely and on time. The tour itself was fantastic and we got unforgetable impressions.

We were in Sri Lanka for 3 weeks and had a great time. Hiran had arranged with one driver and van at our disposal. We booked Hiran as our driver for 8 days. Due to personal reasons Hiran could not drive us, but he suggested Sudheera as a stand-in – and we couldn´t have chosen better ourselfs. Sudheera is a very reliable, punctual person and always has a smile on his face. He has a comfortable van with lots of space which he is cleaning daily and moreover he is a very save and efficient driver. We originally booked a driver, but actually got a very experienced guide: We had made ourselves a rough itinerary, but on the way Sudheera always provided us with information and suggestions about extra sightseeing opportunities that we would have missed without him – not the usual tourist traps – and if so, then we were warned before. Due to his countless contacts, he was also a big help with finding nice places to stay the night.

Contact with Hiran was very pleasant, he responded quickly to emails and called us several times during our stay to check if everything was ok.

We had a wonderful 10-days tour with the driver Jeewan. He is a very friendly and uncomplicated person and a very good driver. We always felt safe. Even a change of plan was not a problem. Thank you Jeewan for the last 10 days and the many photos (he is a good photograph as well).

Just finished an amazing tour of Sri Lanka using Chauffeursrilanka. The service provided by our driver Srimal and the arrangements and booking provided by Hiran was brilliant. We did a 3-week journey through Sri Lanka, organized by Hiran (and as outlined in his proposed tours).

Organization in advance was straightforward, Hiran adjusted our desired tour itinerary accordingly and correspondence was fast.

Upon arrival in Colombo, Hiran welcomed us at the airport and drove us to our first Hotel in Negombo. He again explained the tour itinerary and gave us some time to adjust.

Two days later, our driver Jeevan picked us up (Hiran could not be our driver for such a long tour, as he, understandably, has to run his business). Jeevan was a very good driver and we always felt safe when he was steering through Sri Lanka´s traffic. He is a nature enthusiast and showed us native animals along our drives. Also, he introduced us into local cuisine, played Sri Lankan music for us and took plenty of images.

After 3 days, Jeevan had to leave us for another tour. Our guide for the remainder of our trip was Srimal. He was also a very good driver and we always felt safe. Srimal showed us a great deal of all important sights and places. More importantly, he knew everything about history and native animals. We always enjoyed when he stopped along the road to show us some local foods.

All in all, our trip organized by Hiran and both of our drivers were exceptional and we can warmly recommend Chauffeur Sri Lanka for a fantastic journey through this beautiful island country.

We had a wonderfull trip trough Sri Lanka in August 2015. We organized our trip by ourselves and contact Hiran to drive us around in Sri Lanka. We found him on the internet and there was always a good communication by email.

Srilam was our driver for 11 days and Jeevan was our driver for our last 3 days.

There was a good communication and Hiran is very reliable. He called us several times to sure that everything was alright.

Our driver Srilam was waited on the airport, he is very kindly, always on time, reliable, flexible and very pleasant company. He told us much about Sri Lanka and he showed us a lot of animals and special places on the way. His English is very good. We had lunch in several good local restaurants he select. With his friendly kind, he let our trip become comfortable und pleasant.

The last three days we have changed from driver and car because Srilam had another trip.

Again Hiran contact us to be sure that everything was alright.

Jeevan was also a very friendly driver, reliable and always on time. When one of our booked hotels was closed, he helped us find another good place to stay for the night. He also showed us several animals and special places on our way.

Planning the tour by email was uncomplicated and our ideas and wishes were no problem for Hiran. We chose the 7-day tour we found on this site and made the changes we like. In April 2015 Hiran was our chauffeur during a 17-day-trip through Sri Lanka. He is a very good driver and also fun to be with. We quickly built a trusting relationship with him. We also always felt safe and well taken care of in every situation in this – to us – unknown country. Many evenings we sat together, talked and got more and more of an inside look into the life and way of thinking of the Singalese.

Hiran was always on time and very reliable. Planning the trip and our departure times in advance went smoothly: We sent our wishes and what we wanted to see by email. He then promptly came up with suggestions for a route and places to stay. He quickly made changes if we wanted. We chose mid priced accommodations and were very happy with the hotels and places Hiran had booked in advance. We especially want to mention and recommend the “homestays”. These are small accommodations that were nicely decorated and put together by the owners who also served delicious home made dinners in the evenings. That way one always got into contact with the local culture and cuisine and learned something about the country and way of life and was not just a tourist in a larger hotel.

During the tour Hiran was very flexible. So we could easily spend just one night in a place instead of the two nights that were planned. Even an extra tour or a small detour were not a problem for Hiran. He adjusted well to us and our wishes and quickly realized what we liked and didn´t like. We really profited from his many years of experience in the tourism industry. We have seen a lot during this trip (sites of ancient Buddhism, several other temples, the very scenic highlands, beautiful bays with white sandy beaches, elephants in the national park, whales, leopards, crocodiles, and even a bear !!!!) And thanks to Hiran we also learned and a lot about the country, people, and the local food. We would not have experienced many things without a private driver.

We really want to stress that we had a great time with Hiran and can recommend him as a driver/guide. His motto “come as a guest … leave as a friend” is far from being a cliché. From experience we can say that it wasn´t the last time that we have visited this great country. And it´s good to now that when we return we can visit a “friend” and book another trip with him.

We were 3 people travelling for 3 days. Hiran´s answers for organizing the tour were really fast and clear. We could even customize our trip by asking him what we wanted to do, he was able to provide everything within our timeline. And he was also really nice, a good sense of service.

Srimal was our guide during the trip, he was always really punctual, nice and was able to adapt and show us more things than what was already planned. Ayubowan for 21 days we went on a private, very well organized tour in Sri Lanka, you both planned in close coordination with us. You invested a very long time, nearly 3 months, to be responsive to our wishes including activities, hotels & guesthouses. We are very satisfied with the result and enjoyed our holidays from the beginning till the end feeling safely guided and comfortable.
Arriving at the airport, where you picked us up, you gave us a warm welcome and we instantly seemed to be friends knowing each other for a long time. It turned out that Upali you introduced to us as our driver and guide was really the right person to be with us. We spent two wonderful weeks in Sri Lanka, 9 days we were traveling around with ´Chauffeur Sri Lanka´ and everything was perfect organized from the beginning to the end. Such a privat tour is a safe and comfortable way to travel around in Sri Lanka.

We spent three wonderful weeks in Sri Lanka by the turn of the year 2014. Our idea was to have an individual trip to discover the breathtaking beauties of this country. Hiran who organized this  fantastic trip with us he has realized everything very well. He considered all our wishes and he fulfilled all our demands. The hotels were selected very good and we felt always comfortable. In addition to that he was always taking care about our satisfaction. It was also a pleasure to be invited at his home and meet its family. Hiran is really one of the friendliest persons that we´ve ever met.

The tour itself was driven by our driver Mr. Asiri who is an always smiling person and an experienced driver where we felt us very safe and secure. The car was always clean and tidy and he was always in time. Furthermore Asiri is a very polite and friendly person. Together with him we discovered a lot of very nice places. We received from Asiri numerous information about religious and cultural aspects of the Sri Lankans. For us he was not only driver but also a good guide. During our vacation we spent a lot of nice evenings with him which will stay in our memories.

We booked a Sri Lanka tour in October with Hiran who was an expert/very experienced driver and guide. First what is highly important, he drives very safely among this crazy Sri Lankan traffic in an always clean and nice car. He had prepared us an “à la carte” tour taking into account  our long flight from Paris, our teenage daughter, our wishes and has adapted the tour as far as the days went through suggesting visits that may interest us more as he better felt what we were like!
We have visited the most important things we could in a week, we have even taken a local train (thought we were back into beginning of last century!), always in very nice hotels where Hiran had booked the rooms with the best views. We have tasted fresh fruits, vegetables and local food (spicy or not as asked by us) every day. He has taken us to places only locals would go. He has always warned us from touristy traps, always told us when and how much we had to tip as tipping is part of Sri Lankan way of life. We could adapt our trip timetable every day in case we were not or less or more interested in something. He has a very good sense of humor and never forgets to add anecdotes from his country way of life or history. He made us love his country. Above all his English is very good and fluent. We met his French guide too who used to live in Paris for many years and who was so kind too.

We arranged for a day trip with Hiran to travel from Negombo to Kandy and Pinnawala and to see as much of Sri Lanka as possible in our short holiday!
The trip was fantastic and Hiran was brilliant! He arrived early in a really nice car and took care of everything for us, making sure we saw what we wanted to see and giving us some great information and history on Sri Lanka. I really enjoyed chatting with him during our drive.
The best moment of our holiday was when Hiran arranged for us to have some home cooked Sri Lankan food and to meet his family (and also to share a few beers!). This really meant a lot to us and is something I will always remember about the holiday.
My only regret was not booking more time to take a longer tour with Hiran but I am sure we will be back one day!
Hiran also picked us up from our hotel on our last day and took us to the airport and he would not accept payment for this! I am not sure I have ever met anyone so kind and friendly.

I never give reviews to any resorts we’ve been to but our recent experience in Sri Lanka is worth mentioning. From the prompt time of our very efficient and friendly tour guide (Hiran of Chauffeur Sri Lanka), our early check-in at the resort @ 5:30 am went very smoothly and the rooms assigned to us (Room 225-226) were both nice and clean. Over-all the hotel is very good plus the staff from housekeeping, restaurant (the breeze) and pool attendants were all friendly and courteous.

The meals served at the restaurant (we?re on half board) were above-average and very good ? specially the desserts area (we liked the banana cake and the fruits in season). They have a wide beach area and although the sea is quite rough, we enjoyed chasing the waves in their very fine brown color sand and very clean ocean.

Mr. Hiran is so accommodating, on time, friendly and giving us details on what we will see and can do in the area. We enjoyed our Mangrove River Cruise at Hikkaduwa, the visit to Galle and the side trips to the town. From my family, thank you Hiran!

We had an excellent stay in Heritance Ahungulla with the family, room, service and food was very good, children enjoyed swimming pool very much.

Also we want to share very good experience with our driver Hiran Rangana (www.chauffeursrilanka.com) he spend with us almost two weeks and we are very lucky to get such a nice and friendly man as our driver. He knows the country very well and is very selflessly helpful (he shared his experiences and recommended us to visit some places which all of us enjoyed very much), also helped to negotiate the prices or made arrangement by himself on our behalf in order to minimize the costs.
