Day 1 & Day 2: NEGOMBO – SIGIRIYA
At the airport you will be greeted by your driver who will take you to the hub of the cultural triangle, the town of Habarana. On the way you will have the opportunity to taste the famous King Coconut, visit a fruit plantation and finally the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage, which houses the abandoned and the wounded elephants. Here you can watch them been fed and bathed. After lunch, continue to the town of Sigiriya, within Sri Lanka’s rich cultural triangle. In the afternoon we visit the rock fortress of Sigiriya – a 5th Century “Fortress in the Sky”, a UNESCO world heritage. Adorning a palace on top of this large rock it is a must see in Sri Lanka. Dinner and overnight in a hotel in Sigiriya.
On the second day, we will visit Sigiriya’s rural life. After we did a bull cart ride, we will explore the city Sigiriya, see the Pidurangalla temple and Pahalagama lake. In the afternoon we will go to Minneriya National Park where we will do a jeep safari. This is usually a good place to spot wild elephants. Dinner and overnight at hotel in Sigiriya.
Day 3: SIGIRIYA – KANDY
In the morning we leave for Kandy. On the way, we will make a stop at one of the more unusual temples buried in a maze – the UNESCO Golden Cave Temple in Dambulla. Further you will see a batik factory and colourful Hindu temple in Matale. Optional and free of charge we can also go to a spice garden. Shortly afterwards you will arrive in spiritual Kandy, surrounded by greenery and the great Mahaweli River. Kandy is also well known as the centre of Buddhism. There we will see the Temple of the Tooth Relic and in the evening a cultural dance performance. Dinner and overnight in a hotel in Kandy.
Day 4: KANDY – NUWARA ELIYA
After breakfast visit Peradeniya Botanical garden and leave then for Nuwara Eliya.
Welcome to Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka’s tea growing centre. During the drive relish the endless views of tea carpeted valleys and the bright flash of female “tea pluckers” in their pimento, fuchsia and cerise saris. En-route to Nuwara Eliya visit the famous Ramboda waterfall, a tea plantation and a working tea factory. Enjoy a guided stroll of Nuwara Eliya town, pass the 18-hole golf course, the colonial member’s only Hill Club and English styled country homes. Dinner and overnight in hotel in Nuwara Eliya.
Day 5: NUWARA ELIYA – HORTON PLAINS – NUWARA ELIYA
For a complete experience of Sri Lanka’s panoramic mountains, travel just outside the town of Nuwara Eliya to the National Park of Horton Plains. It is the perfect place for nature lovers with its rich biodiversity and stunning views. You might sight many wild animals and different species of birds enjoying the resplendent surroundings. You can also walk to the World’s End, a sheer drop of an astonishing 1’050 meters where you have a nice view. Return to Nuwara Eliya where we walk around Gregory Lake and do a city tour. Dinner and overnight in Nuwara Eliya.
Day 6: NUWARA ELIYA – ADAM’S PEAK
Start climbing Adam’s peak early in the morning. See the sunrise and on the way back you can enjoy the magnificent views, see two nice waterfalls (St. Clair and Devon) and walk through tea plantations. Dinner and overnight in Nuwara Eliya.
Day 7: ADAM’S PEAK – KITHULGALA – NEGOMBO
After breakfast we proceed to Kithulgala, originally known for the classic movie production Bridge on the River Kwai. This place is nowadays very popular for white water rafting. You can do it as well or just enjoy the beautiful scenery. In the afternoon we proceed back to your hotel in Negombo or to the airport. End of tour.

Prices are per person during high season, subject to availability and include
- Air-conditioned vehicle with English speaking driver
- A fair salary for the driver (which is very important to us!), his accommodation and meals

- Jeep safaris (Minneriya and Horton Plains) and bull cart ride
Please note that we will not bring you to places you do not want to go just to make extra money (for example shopping stops at factories or shops).
During low season, prices can be lower, especially for luxury accommodation.
