3 Days / 2 Nights – Tour

 

Day 1:   NEGOMBO – BENTOTA

At the airport you will be greeted by your driver who will take you to Bentota. We proceed along the west coast to Bentota beach. There you have time to do some water sports (water ski, jet ski, wave surfing, etc).
After that we do a boat tour on the Madu river. This is an amazing place and the only place in Sri Lanka where you can go through Mangrove tunnels. The natural beauty is stunning and it is very quiet. The relaxing silence is only interrupted by birds singing. On this tour we will visit most of the islands located along the Madu river. Some of the spots we visit are the Cinnamon Island and the Secret River. If you are up to it, you can even experience a fish massage! Dinner and overnight in a hotel in Bentota.

 

Day 2:   BENTOTA – KOSGODA – UNAWATUNA

Today we will visit the sea turtle farm in Kosgoda. There you can see all 5 species of turtles found in Sri Lanka. If you are lucky you might even help with releasing them to the ocean. After that we drive south to Unawatuna, a small fishing village. It is a coastal town in Galle district of Sri Lanka. Unawatuna is a major tourist attraction in Sri Lanka and famous for its beautiful beach and corals.

 

Day 3:   UNAWATUNA – GALLE – NEGOMBO

After breakfast visit Galle Fort in Galle. Galle Fort, in the Bay of Galle on the south east coast of Sri Lanka, was built first in 1588 by the Portuguese, then extensively fortified by the Dutch during the 17th century from 1649 onwards. It is a historical, archaeological and architectural heritage monument, which even after more than 423 years maintains a polished appearance, due to extensive reconstruction work done by Archaeological Department of Sri Lanka. After this, we will visit the mask factory in Ambalangoda, a very popular village for Mask industry. Masks are a very important item for Sri Lanka traditional dances. Further we will visit the moonstone mine in Meetiyagoda. Sri Lanka is famous for its precious gems and moonstones.

In the afternoon proceed through the coastal line back to Negombo or the airport. End of tour.

Prices are per person during high season, subject to availability and include

  • Air-conditioned vehicle with English speaking driver
  • A fair salary for the driver (which is very important to us!), his accommodation and meals
  • Your accommodation with breakfast and dinner
  • All entrance fees, fuel and taxes
  • Boat tour on Madu river

Please note that we will not bring you to places you do not want to go just to make extra money (for example shopping stops at factories or shops).

During low season, prices can be lower, especially for luxury accommodation.
