15 Days / 14 Nights – Tour
Day 1: NEGOMBO – SIGIRIYA
At the airport you will be greeted by your driver who will take you to the hub of the cultural triangle, the town of Habarana. On the way you will have the opportunity to taste the famous King Coconut, visit a fruit plantation and finally the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage, which houses the abandoned and the wounded elephants. Here you can watch them been fed and bathed. After lunch, continue to the town of Sigiriya, within Sri Lanka’s rich cultural triangle.
In the afternoon we visit the rock fortress of Sigiriya – a 5th Century “Fortress in the Sky”, a UNESCO world heritage. Adorning a palace on top of this large rock it is a must see in Sri Lanka. Dinner and overnight in a hotel in Sigiriya.
Day 2: SIGIRIYA – ANURADHAPURA – SIGIRIYA
Today we will visit Sri Lanka’s biggest ancient city, Anuradhapura. Today a World Heritage site, it was the national capital for over 1300 years up to the 10th Century AD. You will visit an archaeological museum, the sacred Bo tree, Brazen Place, Royal Palace, Samadhi Buddha and more. Dinner and overnight in hotel in Sigiriya.
Day 3: SIGIRIYA – POLONNARUWA – SIGIRIYA
Today we go to one of the better kept ruins of ancient Ceylon – the UNESCO World Heritage City of Polonnaruwa, which was the medieval capital of Sri Lanka from the 11th – 13th century A.D. In the afternoon you will go to Minneriya National Park where we will do a jeep safari. This is usually a good place to spot wild elephants. After that we proceed back to your hotel in Sigiriya.
Day 4: SIGIRIYA – KANDY
In the morning we leave for Kandy. On the way, we will make a stop at one of the more unusual temples buried in a maze – the UNESCO Golden Cave Temple in Dambulla. Further you will see a batic factory and colourful Hindu temple in Matale. Optional and free of charge we can also go to a spice garden. Shortly afterwards you will arrive in spiritual Kandy, surrounded by greenery and the great Mahaweli River. Kandy is also well known as the centre of Buddhism. There we will see the Temple of the Tooth Relic and in the evening a cultural dance performance. Dinner and overnight in a hotel in Kandy.
Day 5: KANDY
Today we do a city tour through Kandy and visit a few temples as you like (Gadaladeniya temple, Ambakey temple and Lanka Thilake Temple).
A visit to the Royal Botanical Gardens will be organized for you in the afternoon. After that you can further explore the city or relax in your hotel before dinner in Kandy.
Day 6: KANDY – NUWARA ELIYA
Welcome to Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka’s tea growing centre. During the drive relish the endless views of tea carpeted valleys and the bright flash of female “tea pluckers” in their pimento, fuchsia and cerise saris. En-route to Nuwara Eliya visit the famous Ramboda waterfall, a tea plantation and a working tea factory. Enjoy a guided stroll of Nuwara Eliya town, pass the 18-hole golf course, the colonial member’s only Hill Club and English styled country homes.
Day 7: NUWARA ELIYA – HORTON PLAINS – NUWARA ELIYA
For a complete experience of Sri Lanka’s panoramic mountains, travel just outside the town of Nuwara Eliya to the National Park of Horton Plains. It is the perfect place for nature lovers with its rich biodiversity and stunning views. You might sight many wild animals and different species of birds enjoying the resplendent surroundings. You can also walk to the World’s End, a sheer drop of an astonishing 1’050 meters where you have a nice view. Return to Nuwara Eliya where we walk around Gregory Lake and do a city tour. Dinner and overnight in Nuwara Eliya.
Day 8: NUWARA ELIYA – ELLA
Today, you can go to Ella by train. This offers you the best view of Sri Lanka’s country side. Our driver will drop you at Nuwara Eliya train station and pick you up from the train station in Ella. In Ella we will see Little Adam’s Peak, visit the Rama’s Cave or you can relax and enjoy the nice views and the nature. Dinner and overnight in hotel in Ella.
Day 9: NUWARA ELIYA – YALA
After breakfast you will travel to Yala. En-route visit Ella gap and Rawana waterfall. Dinner and overnight stay in Yala.
Day 10: YALA
Today you will set foot in the Yala National Park, famous for one of the highest densities of leopards in the world. Also the sloth bear and Asian elephant that are also part of Sri Lanka’s Big Five can be spotted. With some good luck you will witness all these creatures during the jeep safari accompanied by a naturalist guide. Dinner and overnight stay in Yala.
Day 11: YALA – GALLE – WEST COAST BEACH
After breakfast you will check out from the hotel and drive up Sri Lanka’s west coast, en-route visit Galle fort and a turtle hatchery. By late afternoon, check in one of the popular beach resorts which are also situated in the “Golden Stretch of Beaches” in Sri Lanka. For the rest of the tour, you will relax and enjoy your beach stay here which you well deserved. Dinner and overnight stay at a beach resort.
Day 12-Day 14: WEST COAST BEACH
Beach stay with many choices of spending your time. Leisurely strolling on the golden beaches enthralled in the magical atmosphere. Lazing on a sun deck reading a book of you choice and sipping a fresh tropical fruit drink. Or water skiing, wind surfing, snorkelling, jet skiing, dolphin and whale watching, diving and much more… Dinner and overnight stay at west coast beach hotel.
Day 15: WEST COAST BEACH – NEGOMBO
Proceed through the coastal line back to the airport. End of tour.

Please note that we will not bring you to places you do not want to go just to make extra money (for example shopping stops at factories or shops).
During low season, prices can be lower, especially for luxury accommodation.
